Animals Need Holiday Love Too!

Holiday Tip #4

Check with the Local Animal Shelter

Holidays are a great time to visit the local animal shelters, and ask what their greatest needs are. Maybe a donation to support food and animal healthcare, maybe a visit to a lonely dog or kitty.

 Safe Holiday Tip #2

Holidays are for giving, but during the pandemic we need to look for safe ways to give our time and our talents. Consider participation with one of the many local community organizations who are hosting toy campaigns. It's a simple click, and you are helping to make a child's holiday more special.

National Sleep Awareness Week

Are you getting enough sleep to be your best?

The National Sleep Foundation reports that America's adolescents (6th-12th grade) are not getting the sleep they need, and this lack of sleep gets worse as they progress through their teen years. According to our study -
  • Just one in five adolescents get an optimal nine hours of sleep on school nights; nearly one-half (45%) sleep less than eight hours on school nights.
  • More than half of adolescents report feeling too tired or sleepy during the day.
  • More than half of adolescents say they know they get less sleep than they need to feel their best.
  • Nine out of 10 parents believe their adolescent is getting enough sleep at least a few nights during the school week, leaving an "awareness gap" between parents and teens.
Sleep health is important for adolescents to maintain optimal energy and a healthy lifestyle.
SkyWell reminds you to get the rest you need!

Be a Friend!

The 2020 SkyWell Strive for a Safe Drive campaign focuses on being a good friend in the car. Friends can be helpful, or they can be distractions to the driver.

Friends buckle up, and avoid loud music, sharing food, and sharing text images while the car is in motion. Friends speak up when they feel unsafe for any reason.

Are you a friend or a foe?
