Don't Brush Off the Winter Blues

Feeling down? Don't brush off that feeling as simply a case of the "winter blues."
You don't have to tough it out on your own. You can take steps to keep your mood and motivation steady throughout the year.
According to Mayo Clinic, seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons — SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. If you're like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody.
Talk to a parent or a counselor if you are feeling down. You may benefit from light therapy, medications or psychotherapy to help you manage your symptoms.

Driving Safety Tip #4 from the Ann Arbor Police Department

Driving Safety Tip - Slow Down!

When road conditions are snowy and icy,
keep extra distance between you and the car in front of you.

Maintain your slower speed - keep it smooth and gradual.

If you skid, steer in the direction that the skid takes you.
